Since 2013 the pay TV market in Poland has been on a downward trend which is a consequence of the increasing saturation of the market with services and the declining number of new subscribers. However, in the last two years the contraction in the market value has slowed down, largely because the greatest wave of pay TV customer migration to digital terrestrial TV has already abated.

 

In terms of value the Polish market is dominated by digital satellite platforms, in 2016 generating over 60% of the total market value. The value share of IPTV remains marginal, although it is the most rapidly growing segment. For a long time the structure of the pay TV market has been virtually invariable which only confirms the maturity of that market.
