Poland leads the data centre market in Central and Eastern Europe

Poland is the largest data centre market in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). In 2014 out of approx. 300,000 m2 of gross space, 36% accounted for Poland. The CEE market remains developing fast, especially in terms of net floor space added each year.
Last year saw a decreasing number of new data centre facilities and major investment projects finished in CEE. The regional market as a whole somewhat stagnated and a few bigger projects were actually postponed for the next year. It is also connected with the fact that both in 2012 and 2013 some significant investments were carried out, what substantially enhanced the level of available commercial floor surface in the CEE region. It obviously does not mean that there were no new openings at all – in Poland, for instance, three major investment projects were finished.
