Er-Telecom plans 9 million subscribers by 2017

Er-Telecom, one of the biggest Russian providers of fixed broadband internet and pay TV services plans to invest RUB 18bn (€420m) in the development of fibre optical networks in the country and to have 9 million subscribers by 2017, according to Andrei Semerikov, CEO of the company quoted in Rbc Daily.

In October 2011, Er-Telecom operated the networks in 42 cities in Russia targeting the cities with more than 350,000 of population. Company had 3.35 million subscribers including 1.5 million of cable TV users and 200,000 customers of its fixed-line telephony service.
