The Russian well-known developer of anti-virus software Kaspersky Lab will open a new office in Washington (USA). The company plans to hire domestic software developers, who will localise and test Kaspersky’s applications addressed for the North American market. The local team will also be responsible for creating security-focused IT systems for energy utilities, refineries and other industrial facilities. An additional task of the American office will also include the monitoring of activity of local hackers. According to Gartner, a research company, the global market of IT security solutions and risk management, where Kaspersky Lab operates, will grow by 8.7% in 2013 to a total of $67.2bn. Kasperky Lab has local offices in 30 countries.
