Russian telco, TransTeleCom (TTK), controlled by Russian Railways, entered the country’s IPTV market, reports Kommersant. TTK will cooperate with LifeStream, a high-tech company offering solutions for a cross-platform cloud TV service and VOD service. TTK already provides its internet television in 31 Russian cities and plans to have 50,000 subscribers by the end of 2017. Additionally, the company negotiates with OTT services and aims to launch VOD and smarta TV application. Furthermore, TTK already ensured provided analogue and digital cable services to ca. 320,000 viewers in over 100 cities by the end of 2015. It has also over 1.5m broadband internet subscribers.
