The largest Hungarian telecommunications company, Magyar Telekom, had 984,974 TV subscribers in Q1 2017, which was 2.2% more than in the corresponding period 2016. Furthermore, the number of mobile customers amounted to 5.3m (a drop by 1.3% y-o-y), total fixed voice customers reached 1.4m (a drop by 1.7% y-o-y) and fixed broadband customers were slightly over 1.0m (up by 2.9% y-o-y). Blended TV ARPU was HUF 3,512 (€11.3) in the period January-March. Magyar Telecom’s total revenues reached HUF 140.5bn (€452.8m) in Q1 2017, 1.6% more than in the corresponding period last year, while total mobile revenues in Hungary grew to HUF 66.9bn (€215.6m), an increase by 2.6%. Overall TV revenues in the country reached HUF 10.3bn (€33.2m) in Q1 2017, which means an 8.7% growth in comparison to Q1 2016.
