Exatel announced 5G tests in Warsaw

Exatel, Polish telecommunications service provider, announced that it will launch 5G tests next week in one shopping center in Warsaw. Tests will be conducted by the international RAPID 5G consortium, a member of which is Exatel. Michal Szczesny, Manager in Architecture and Network Planning Department, specified that Exatel will use the 60 GHz band.

RAPID 5G R&D Consortium is a joint venture of 11 European, Israeli and Japanese companies and research centers. The consortium is designing a system that will be a part of 5G and will be used at (among others) stadiums, stations and in shopping centers.
